In
January, Master Jue Xing assumed the
post of vice-director of Monastery's
Affairs Office.
In March, Master
Jue Xing led a delegation of Shanghai
young monks to South Korea for a visit.
In April, Master Jue Xing joined
the Shanghai Religion Society and
was elected member of the executive
council.
In May, Master Jue
Xing was invited to Singapore to give
lectures.
In September, Master Jue Xing was
invited to attend a Buddhist conference
of China, Japan and South Korea.
In October, invited by Master Lian
Hang, Master Jue Xing and others went
to Taiwan to preach Buddhism, and
attended the memorial meeting for
the 1st anniversary of the death of
Master Zhen Chan on the South Mountain
and the monkhood initiation ceremony
held in the Fang Sheng Monastery.
In November, the
Collected Works in Memory of Master
Zhen Chan was published.
In December, the 1st memorial ceremony
for the death of Master Zhen Chan
was performed.
Master Jue Xing was interviewed by
reporters from Japan International
Cultural Exchange Magazine and Buddhist
Television Station of South Korea.

of Portugal and his wife visited the
monastery.
