1997

In April, Master Jue Xing led a Buddhist service delegation of the Jade Buddha Monastery to Singapore Buddhist Lodge to perform a grand auspicious ceremony for peace.

In August, the new Monastery's Affairs Office was set up with Master Jue Xing as the director.

In October, Master Jue Xing attended Buddhist conference of China, Japan and South Korea held in Japan.

In December, the monastery held a memorial meeting and a memorial seminar on the 2nd anniversary of Master Zhen's passing away Chan and set up the “Master Zhen Chan Funds”.

1998

In January, Master Jue Xing was elected delegate to the 11th Shanghai Municipal People's Congress.

In March, Master Jue Xing was elected delegate to the 12th Shanghai Putuo District People's Congress.

In May, Master Jue Xing was elected executive vice-president of Shanghai Buddhist Association at the 8th conference.

Master Jue Xing was elected vice chairman at the Shanghai Putuo District Youth Federation Association.

In November, Master Jue Xing was elected vice chairman at the Shanghai Youth League Association.

For commemorating the passing away of Master Zhen Chan for 3 years, the monastery held a grand ceremony for world peace and country's prosperity.
