1998

In December, a seminar was held in the monastery to discuss Master Zhen Chan's ideas of loving the country and Buddhism. And a Buddhist music concert for commemorating the 3rd anniversary of the passing away of Master Zhen Chan was also held in Shanghai Concert Hall, which attracted more than 1,000 audience.

The Jade Buddha Monastery delegation led by Master Jue Xing visited Taiwan.

In the same year, a Taiwan delegation of receiving skull relic of Eminent Master Xuan Zang visited the monastery, which was led by Eminent Master Wu Ming, the leader.

1999

In November, Jade Buddha Monastery delegation led by Master Jue Xing visited Singapore.

The monastery held a grand ceremony to honor Master Jue Xing as abbot.

A group led by Eminent Master Wu Ming from Taiwan visited the monastery.

In the same year, the monastery set up the Juequn Lecture Hall and gave weekly Buddhist lectures.

2000

In April, the monastery started the first class of Buddhist music.

A group of 24 members led by Master Cheng Yi from Taiwan visited the monastery.

In May, the opening ceremony of the class for monks' education was held in the monastery.
