A Shanghai Buddhist delegation led by Master Jue Xing went to Taiwan to congratulate the 90th birthday of Eminent Master Wu Ming.

The monastery performed a ceremony of sutra explanations and chanting for seven days and seven young masters were invited to be chief lecturers.

The monastery bought land from the original Liqun Hospital and performed a ceremony of handing over the real estate.

In October, a group of 53 members led by Elder Master Wu Ming from Taiwan visited the monastery.

The monastery held “a seminar commemorating the 120th birthday of Master Hong Yi (Li Shutong)”.

The expansion construction of Baoguo Temple,the branch of the monastery was started.

In November, Master Jue Guang and Master Yong Xing led a Hong Kong Buddhist delegation to visit the monastery.

The monastery held a ceremony giving lectures on sutras for 6 days. Master Jing Hui, vice president of China Buddhist Association and abbot of Bailin Chan Monastery in Zhao County, Hebei Province, was invited to be the chief lecturer.

The Jade Buddha Chamber was renovated. Gold plated Buddha statues were decorated on the ceiling in front of the jade Buddha statue.

For commemorating the 5th year of the passing away of Master Zhen Chan, the monastery held an auspicious ceremony for all Buddhists in the construction of the monastery.
