Jade Buddha Monastery covers an area of 19.4 mu,. There are such many buildings along the middle axles in turn as the Grand Screen Wall, the Hall of the Four Deva-King , the Great Shrine Hall, the Abbot’s Office (the Jade Buddha Chamber and Chamber of Buddhist Scriptures upstairs). From the Eas Gate, there exist Shanghai Buddhist Association, Avalokitesvara Hall, Shanghai Buddhist Institute, Meditation Hall, Wu Guan Hall and Vegetarian Restaurant. Along the West Gate, lie the Reception House, Monastery’s Affairs Office, Storeroom, Bronze Buddha Hall, Reclining Buddha Hall, Shop of Buddhist Articles, Guests House and Le Zhi Hall, and so on.

There will be a tall building on a new piece of land of 7.8 mu, named Jue Qun Building. It consists of lecture halls with multifunction, classrooms, guest rooms, offices, dining hall, and underground parking place. The development of the new ground will add new vitality to the Jade Buddha Monastery.
